What qualifications are required to work with Polly Housekeeping?
Our qualification requirements are straightforward. Candidates must be over eighteen years of age, possess the legal right to work within the United Kingdom, and demonstrate excellent communication capabilities. A clean driving licence represents a distinct advantage for roles involving travel between client locations. We provide all necessary training, encompassing health and safety certifications and specialised cleaning techniques.
What types of shifts are available?
We offer flexible working arrangements designed to accommodate different lifestyles. We have both full-time and part-time options available.
We understand the importance of work-life balance and will strive to accommodate individual scheduling requirements. The shift pattern generally encompasses morning, afternoon, and early evening shifts but once you have been matched with your clients, the shift pattern will be arranged alongside their preferences.
What wage and compensation do you offer?
We provide competitive wages in line with the National Minimum Wage requirements.
Pay rates are determined by individual experience, specific role, and associated responsibilities.
Team members will receive additional payment for any overtime and travel between client locations.

What kind of training and development do you provide?
Professional development represents a core principle at Polly Housekeeping.
Whether you are looking for a role in the office or as one of our housekeepers, new employees undertake an induction programme with an assigned manager. This includes both practical training in advanced cleaning techniques, exemplary customer service, and rigorous health and safety protocols. It is important for our customer service staff to understand the principles we expect from our housekeepers in order to provide advice and an understanding from the scheduling side of things.
We provide continuous professional development opportunities, presenting clear and structured pathways for career advancement within our team.
What personal equipment will I need to provide?
We will provide you with any specific cleaning supplies and professional uniforms. We expect all team members to maintain a consistently neat and professional appearance whilst taking exceptional care of company-provided equipment. Comfortable, non-slip work shoes are recommended, though not supplied by the company.

Our recruitment process typically involves an initial screening, a formal interview.
If successful we will move you onto our next step where you will be placed with a manager for a practical assessment on one of their cleaning rounds. This offers our managing staff an opportunity to see your potential and also allows you an insight into your daily routine should you be successful.
If I am successful when do I start?
Upon successful completion of your interview, you will receive a welcome hamper as a warm gesture of congratulations. We take great pleasure in welcoming new team members.
Following your interview, you may commence work as early as the following day. You will then undertake a comprehensive week-long training programme with your designated manager, during which our customer service team will match you with appropriate clients.
